AIUI the intention for the IEP is that the permitted speed (non-tilt) on the
fast lines between Euston and Hanslope will be increased to 125 mph where
possible. On this stretch tilt only gives a minute or two advantage. Further
north it would be much more difficult to increase the non-tilt speed above
110 mph, and tilt gives a much bigger advantage.
