Default Looking for a laptop computer for travel purposes.

Well, allegedly, in article <acc2c9ec-b6bc-4d83-beaa-d1a97c60154b@y18g2000pre..com>, PeterL <po.ning@> wrote:

Not a lot of alternative options at the moment. Sorry.

There's a few (much) higher priced options with HP, Apple, amongst
others... but that's outside the price range you mentioned.

Right now, the Asus Eee PC is one of the few that neatly dovetails with
the price range you mentioned. If you want something like its
functionality, then at this time, you'll need to buy it from some source.

But since the ultra-low-priced laptop market segment is starting to
get rolling, you may see something comparable within a few years, if you
can wait.
