You mean toll their ***ROADS***? Hint: opinions don't appear nearly as
forceful when full of misspellings.
Secondly, those suburbanites have already paid tolls to cross into the
city; there are no free rides for them like there are for city
residents on the city-owned crossings. Many of them have also already
paid tolls on parkways, the NYS Thruway or other tolled roads to
travel into the city.
Secondly, since they tend to be more affluent than the residents of
Brooklyn and Queens, you need their money and the economic activity
they generate more than you think you do.
Bottom line is congestion pricing would have hit everybody fairly and
everyone affected would have had several ways to avoid paying the fee.
You just want a free ride extended a little bit further. |
