I would choose No.1 for the beauty and touristy attractions:Vancouver
and Victoria (cities) beautiful, Port Hardy and Prince Rupert I have not
been there, Jasper and Banff are spectacular Rocky Mountain resorts with
lots of lakes, rivers and streams. Yoho, the same. Okanagan Valley is
fruit country, it can get very hot there in the summer 90+ F, but
beautiful. It is literally a valley between ranges of Rocky Mountains.

No.2 sounds a bit more wild with fewer cities and includes more of the
north country, therefore less populated and more wild, although quite
civilized. Whitehorse is quite far north which would make summer
temperatures a bit cooler.

Hooroo!
